For entry into this category submissions should answer the following:

  • Commitment to Water Safety Education: Describe the nominees' commitment to teaching swimming skills and promoting water safety. Provide specific examples.

  • Innovative Teaching Practices: Provide examples of innovative teaching practices theyhave implemented. Describe their impact on students.

  • Inclusion: Detail the ways in which the nominee guarantee that each student can engage inactivities tailored to their individual level of knowledge, skill, and comprehension.

  • Professional Development: Outline the efforts of the nominee to professional development. Include courses taken, certifications earned, and how these have improved your teaching.
