SAFE PLACES TO SWIM

Description

There are probably lots of places where you can swim in your local community - public pools, rivers, lakes and the ocean.

These places are great fun but it’s important to stay safe. Even if there are a lot of people around, there are still dangers you need to be aware of.

In this module we’re going to look at some of the activities you can do at these places as well the main hazards.

By the end of this module students should be able to:

  • Identify different aquatic environments in your community

  • Understand what activities you can do in those places

  • Identify dangers and hazards to beware of
