A Day of Fun, Purpose, and Community at Penrith Golf Club
On Friday, 22 November 2024, Royal Life Saving NSW hosted the highly anticipated Drowning Prevention Charity Golf Day at the picturesque Penrith Golf Club. Rescheduled from its original September date due to wet weather, the event was well worth the wait, marking our largest Golf Day since its inception in 2010. With 28 teams and 112 players, the day was a fantastic mix of friendly competition and shared purpose: raising funds to support lifesaving water safety programs in our communities.
The event was proudly sponsored by our Major Sponsor, Seven Hills RSL, whose decade-long partnership has profoundly impacted over 25,000 individuals. Their unwavering financial support has enabled us to deliver critical swimming, water safety, and lifesaving programs to some of our most vulnerable communities.
Seven Hills RSL's dedication ensures that more Australians possess the skills and knowledge to enjoy our waterways safely, creating a legacy that enriches lives and strengthens communities. We extend our deepest gratitude to them for their generosity and for hosting this year’s Charity Golf Day.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to:
Gold Sponsor: Tarista Transport.
Hole Sponsors: Toyota Lander, Fluidra Commercial, LR Landscaping, Rheem, Direct Inject, STSM Strata Management, Cadenze, and Sydney City Hyundai.
Supporters: Penrith Panthers (donating a signed 2024 Premiership jersey), Allprint Graphics Pty Ltd (donating event signage) and FootJoy for providing our players shirts.

On the Green: Highlights of the Day
The event followed a 4 Ball Ambrose Elimination Shotgun Start, offering a fun and competitive format for all players.
We offered a number of on course challenges on the day including Longest Drive, Nearest to the Pin and a Hole in One Challenge on Hole 7 that nearly became legendary with one golfer coming heartbreakingly close, missing the prize of a Toyota Hilux SR5 valued at $69,676 by just one metre! Toyota Lander, the sponsor of this thrilling challenge, was onsite with merchandise for the players, adding to the excitement.
The event wasn’t just about golf—it was about making a difference. Through generous donations, raffle entries, and enthusiastic participation, we raised crucial funds to support our drowning prevention initiatives.
Royal Life Saving NSW extends its heartfelt thanks to every attendee, sponsor, and supporter for contributing to a truly impactful day. Your involvement helps ensure more people are equipped with the knowledge and skills to stay safe in and around water.
We can’t wait to see you all next year—let’s continue to make every swing count!
