Become part of the Outback Lifesaver team

The Outback Lifesaver program is facilitated by swim teachers, coaches and managers to ensure the safety and protection of children in the program. Safety is paramount! All activities and environmental issues (including water conditions and weather) will be constantly reviewed.

Due to the structure of the program working with councils and potentially council pools, RLSNSW | ACT | TAS are willing to utilise Swim Teachers for the program. All Outback Lifesaver Coaches will undergo inductions to ensure they fully understand the program, the outcomes of the activities and lifesaving specific skills which will be taught.

Depending on individual experience and qualifications will determine what type of training/induction content will need to be provided. RLSNSW | ACT | TAS will assist all Coaches to be fully equipped prior to the program starting.

Outback Lifesaver Coach will be required to:

​

• Hold a current Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (SISSS00112)

• Hold a current CPR qualification

• Hold a current WWCC

• Complete the Outback Lifesaver Coach Induction​
