An organised and enthusiastic person is sought to join our dedicated and passionate Swim School management team in the Ryde LGA! The aim of the Swim School Supervisor is to grow and expand our Learn to Swim Program and maximise the use of our brand new Aquatic Facility and all it has to offer the local Ryde community.

 

About the role

Reporting to the Aquatics Coordinator, the role is full time 38hrs per week. Roster flexibility is available as weekend work is required. Ideally, you will have a proven background in swimming teaching and team management and enjoy being in and around the water.

 

You will develop and enhance the existing program, ensuring that all children are given the best start to this critical life-skill. Approximately one third of your time in this role will focus on the co-ordination of the program, including recruiting, training and developing the Learn to Swim teaching team.

 

You will also have the opportunity to be hands on in the Academy, working as Deck Supervisor and as a Learn to Swim teacher, with classes assigned directly to you. You will ensure the safety of teachers, parents, carers and our students.

 

Working within the Aquatic Academy Leadership team, you are a big part to the Royal Life Saving NSW swimming team. The two Aquatic Academy teams work together closely to achieve the objectives detailed in the RLS NSW organisational strategy.

 

About you

You will have:

  • Current Swimming Teacher accreditation or be willing to obtain.
  • Proven experience teaching Learn to Swim for school age children.
  • CPR and first aid qualifications.
  • Working with children check (NSW).
